This home made harissa paste is so simple, I can't recommend it more! Whether you're pimping up a salad, adding it to a platter board or adding it to hot pots, it's a perfect pot to have in your cupboards.
You only need a few ingredients as it's mostly dried spices (hopefully lying around in your cupboards) but DON'T worry if there are a few spices and herbs missing, feel free to get creative and add your own.
Ingredients:
½ cup olive oil
1 tsp chilli flakes
2 tsp cumin
½ tsp coriander seeds
2 tsp smoked paprika
4 cloves garlic peeled
1 small roasted red pepper I used ½ cup of jarred chargrilled
Pinch Salt
Method:
Simply peel the garlic, then pop all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until the peppers and garlic are finely chopped.
Enjoy with cracked black pepper crackers or over a delicious chickpea and spinach stew
