Banana Bread Donuts


Dry ingredients

1 ½ cup plain flour

2 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)

100g / ½ cup chocolate chips

Large pinch sea salt


Wet ingredients

3 overripe bananas 

4 tbsp / 80ml coconut oil


Preheat the oven to 160ºC

Pop the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix together with a wooden spoon 

In a smaller bowl, mash the bananas together until they form a creamy consistency then add the melted coconut oil 

Bring the two together by gently folding in the banana mix, careful not to whip the mix at all

Spoon the mix into a greased donut baking tray and pop in the oven for 25 minutes

Pop a knife in the donut, and make sure it comes out clean

Allow to cool (maybe just taste test one) then coat with homemade nutella or a chocolate spread
